From 12 countries around the world to Rome for the first Expert Meeting of the Family International

From Monday 13 to Wednesday 15 May, the first Expert Meeting of
the Family International Monitor will be held in Rome.
Representatives of 12 universities and research centers from different
parts of the world will meet to kick off the work of the Observatory, founded
in December 2018 with the aim of conducting scientific research at
international level on the concrete condition of families in different social,
cultural and economic contexts.
The survey will take place over a period of 3 years (2019-2021) and will
be marked by the creation of two reports on family and relational poverty and
family and economic poverty, fundamental guidelines that will guide all
research on the subject.
Participants in the Expert Meeting will participate in the Papal Audience
on Wednesday 15 May, on the occasion of the International Day of the Family.
The meeting is a seminar of the
network of national focal points, to share tools, methodologies, timing and
operational methods for collecting data for the preparation of national reports
and a summary report.
